Bus travel during the Bergkirchweih 2025
Stand: 28.05.2025
Additional journeys are based on the BERG-SHUTTLE's operating times on the respective days. Travel to the festival from parts of the district with the Bergkirchweihticket. The free city center area is also valid.
On Thursday, June 5, the first beer barrel of the 270th Erlangen Bergkirchweih will be tapped in front of the Henninger-Keller and the festival officially opened. Until June 16, historic beer cellars and almost 90 rides and amusement rides as well as snack and confectionery stalls will attract visitors to the festival grounds. Visitors can get to the Kirchweih safely and comfortably by bus.
The lines: routes and times
This year, the BERG-SHUTTLE will once again run on the circular route between Hugenottenplatz and the Kirchweih grounds. The buses for the Kirchweih are waiting to depart from the south side of the Hugenottenplatz bus stop (alongside the McDonald's restaurant). They serve
- before 17:00 the Bergkirchweih bus stop at the foot of Bergstraße in Essenbacher Straße and the Palmsstraße bus stop (special structure) in Spardorfer Straße
- after 17:00 the Bergkirchweih Ost stop in Leo-Hauck-Straße.
The BERG-SHUTTLE makes its rounds in the following time slots:
- Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 23:45
- Saturday, as well as on Mountain Tuesday (June 10), Seniors' Day (June 11) and Family Day (June 12) from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
- Sundays and public holidays from 9:00 am to 11:45 pm.
This year, the Stadtwerke lines 281, 283, 286, 287, 294 and 295 will once again be served by repeaters. On Mountain Tuesday (June 10), Senior Citizens' Day (June 11) and Family Day (June 12) - marked BF in the timetable - and on Saturday, additional journeys are planned from 10:00 am. On the other days, the additional special trips marked BV in the timetable run from 16:00. On Sundays and public holidays, they run from 9:00 am.
The additional journeys are based on the BERG-SHUTTLE's operating times on the respective days. The lines also run until midnight. This enables an optimal transition to the NightLiner service. The aim is to create an additional and attractive service for guests at the Kirchweih as well as for Erlangen passengers in the respective Erlangen districts. This will be supplemented by additional journey extensions on various lines.
To ensure the safe operation of the routes and in line with the new safety concept of the police and the city of Erlangen, all city buses will no longer run via Martin-Luther-Platz from 17:00. At weekends and on public holidays, the NightLiner buses are also available, which depart from the bus station/large parking lot. The Hugenottenplatz and Hauptbahnhof stops will not be served. The NightLiners will run from June 5 to June 9, 2025 and June 13 to June 15, 2025.
