You will perform important public tasks in the wastewater treatment plant of the city of Erlangen and actively work for the citizens*. The gas storage tanks and solar cells of our modern wastewater treatment plant are also crucial in ensuring that the entire plant can cover its own electricity and water needs.

As a wastewater technology specialist, you will process wastewater in the wastewater treatment plant and learn how to control, maintain, and care for the wastewater treatment plant.
In addition, you will monitor the treatment stages to optimize the wastewater treatment process, analyze the wastewater and sewage sludge samples, and document the results. In the case of automated plants and machines, it is your task to control these and to take immediate corrective action in the event of deviations.
