Sanierung und Ausbau des Stadtmuseums

Der Stadtrat hat beschlossen, nach der Fertigstellung des Kultur- und Bildungscampus KuBiC Frankenhof, als nächstes schwerpunktmäßig den Ausbau des Stadtmuseums anzugehen. Durch eine Erweiterung wird der erhöhte Platzbedarf eines zeitgemäßen Stadtmuseums mit größeren Sonderausstellungsflächen, eigenen Veranstaltungsräumen und einer erweiterten Fläche für die stadtgeschichtliche Dauerausstellung ermöglicht. Ziel ist, das Stadtmuseum dem Standard von Museen in vergleichbaren Städten anzupassen.

ZAM im Greiner

Im ehemaligen Küchenladen Greiner in der nördlichen Altstadt entsteht das Zentrum für Austausch und Machen (ZAM). Der Betreiberverein Makerspace+ für Erlangen e. V. entwickelt dort einen Ort für die freie Szene/Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft, Ziel ist es, Bürgerinnen und Bürgern neue Formen des Zusammenarbeitens zu ermöglichen: durch Erprobung neuester Technologien und durch Teilen von Know How, Gütern und Raum. Die Grundüberzeugung des Vereins lautet: Macher*innen wissen sich besser zu helfen. Das + hinter "Makerspace" symbolisiert die Erweiterung des technischen Ansatzes um die Wissenschaft, die Kunst und das Spiel - die Betreiber*innen des ZAM wissen um die Kraft der Kunst und der Wissenschaft beim Bewältigen von gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen.

Schaffung eines Ortes der Erinnerung an die Opfer der Euthanasie

Gemeinsam mit verschiedenen Projektpartnern soll auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen Heil- und Pflegeanstalt Erlangen (HuPfla) ein Erinnerungs- und Zukunftsort eingerichtet werden. Ziel ist es, an die NS-Medizinverbrechen in der HuPfla zu erinnern und den Opfern zu gedenken, aber auch einen Blick in die Zukunft zu richten und sich im Dialog mit heutigen medizinethischen Fragestellungen auseinanderzusetzen.
