"List" to Combat Loneliness

Stand: 28.10.2026

Together, we're less alone—"List" against loneliness. Places to meet and connect in Erlangen and programs offered by the District of Middle Franconia.

We've put together a short list of different hangout spots that you might want to visit again and again. Why not stop by sometime?

You can view the list here

If you’d rather not go to an event or gathering alone, ask a friend or someone in your neighborhood if they’d like to go with you.

It’s often much easier to find someone to go with than you might think. Maybe your best friend or that nice neighbor has been wanting to go for a while but didn’t have anyone to go with.

Is there perhaps one person or another whom you’ve been greeting for a long time while shopping at your corner store or the nearby supermarket (even if only with a nod), or whom you even smile at? So why not ask that person, with no strings attached, if they’d like to come along? It could turn into a regular group of friends who go together. Why not?

Our locations:

  • Café Kränzchen at the Central Cemetery, in Büchenbach and Uttenreuth
  • Dreycedern e.F. with projects: Altstadt trifft Burgberg, SpielRaum—a supervised playgroup—and much more
  • Sprungbretter – Bistro Dreycedern
  • Neighborhood Café 56nord, open lunch for seniors and the AWO community bus
  • Malteser with numerous programs

The Middle Franconia district would like to draw your attention to the following services:

DO YOU FEEL LONELY? SUPPORT CAN HELP!

As we age, the likelihood that we’ll have to cope with goodbyes and losses increases because these occur more frequently. These include, for example, retiring from the workforce, an increase in illnesses and physical limitations, the loss of loved ones, and letting go of old habits. As we age, our range of motion shrinks, doubts can multiply, and our strength can wane. We cope better with some things and worse with others. But one thing remains constant in all situations: support can help!

Sometimes small steps are especially difficult, but they can pave the way for new paths.

Don’t hesitate—give us a call and take the first step.
