Program for the partnership anniversary
Erlangen and San Carlos have been twinned since 1990. From the very beginning, the partnership has focused on supporting vital projects, in particular the expansion of medical care, but also in the area of water supply and help for victims of domestic violence. In recent years, youth exchanges and voluntary service by young people have developed into another important pillar of the partnership.
For some years now, German partnership stakeholders have been looking with great concern at Nicaragua, the dismantling of democratic structures there and the deplorable human rights violations. With this anniversary program, we want to look at these developments together with our Erlangen cooperation partners, but also continue to facilitate exchange and encounters and make visible what has been achieved.
