Will Erlangen win the race? Vote now!

Since 2014, the Kommune bewegt Welt competition has been recognizing German municipalities that are committed to achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - both locally and with international partners worldwide. In Erlangen, too, volunteers, politicians and local authorities have been committed to development policy for many years, thereby assuming global responsibility.

In order to win the public prize of 10,000 euros, the development actors in Erlangen now need your help: click here and vote for Erlangen. Since the number of inhabitants is taken into account when evaluating the votes, every municipality has the same chance, regardless of whether it is a village or a large city. Around 50 municipalities throughout Germany are invited to take part.

The prize money of 10,000 euros will be used to finance local development policy activities. The Kommune bewegt Welt competition is organized by Engagement Global and its Service Agency Communities in One World (SKEW) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Voting is possible until September 30, 2024.
