General information about the Kitafinder

You can use the Kitafinder to make a request for a place with the childcare provider of your choice, even several at the same time. It does not matter whether there is currently free capacity. A personal account, i.e. a one-off registration and login to the parent portal, is a prerequisite for a place request.

The Kitafinder can be used at any time and from the comfort of your own home, computer, smartphone or tablet.

The Kitafinder is a modern, digital service provided by the city administration of Erlangen. From the comfort of your own home, you can get an overview of the childcare options in your area, filter them according to criteria that are important to you and, if you wish, submit your place requests directly online.

Currently, over 90% of daycare centers can be found in the Kitafinder. Childcare inquiries (registration) can be made via the Kitafinder for all municipal daycare centers and for most independent daycare centers. For a few daycare centers run by independent providers, childcare enquiries/registrations can only be made directly with the daycare center. This is then published in the profile of the facility in the Kitafinder.
