Since the beginning of the year, public waste management authorities have been obliged to ensure the separate collection and recycling of used textiles. In Bavaria, the towns and municipalities belonging to the district are responsible for collecting the waste.

In principle, the involvement of third parties in fulfilling the waste disposal obligation is also permitted by federal law in accordance with § 22 KrWG, so that the existing containers of the various textile collectors can continue to be used.
