The purchase of rental bicycles for the transportation of adults is suggested. These are to be stationed in senior citizens' facilities.

Response from the Planning and Building Department:
The city of Erlangen has been offering cargo bikes for free hire since 2017. The fleet has been successively expanded in recent years.
The purchase of further models is planned for this year, with a total volume of EUR 100,000. In response to several requests from the city's population, the tender also includes a rickshaw for transporting adults and children. In addition to a rickshaw, the purchase of a special bike for the transportation of wheelchair users is also planned.
Locations for both bikes have not yet been determined. However, the intention is to select care facilities for people if these are suitable locations.
Depending on the current delivery situation, the new model is expected to expand the existing rental system in the summer and be made available to the city's population free of charge.
