Can the indoor pool be opened for the outdoor pool season?

In principle, the Hannah-Stockbauer-Halle is open during the outdoor pool season for extensive school swimming and club sports with training programs for competitive swimmers and for children's swimming courses. In addition to normal school swimming in the Hannah-Stockbauer-Halle, school classes from the Westbad will also come to the Röthelheimbad from the end of April - swimming competitions will also take place. During school and club swimming, water supervision is the responsibility of school teachers and swimming club instructors. Unfortunately, the shortage of skilled workers is also noticeable in Erlangen's swimming pools and great efforts are needed to recruit skilled workers and trainees. An additional opening to the public would tie up additional supervisory staff and cleaners, who would then be missing from the outdoor pool operations. There are already more and more outdoor pools that have had to reduce their opening hours or the use of facilities (diving tower, slides, etc.) due to the staff shortage, as it was no longer possible to guarantee safe pool operations. During the summer season, Erlangen has two beautiful, heated outdoor pools with sufficient water surface available to the public.
