There is a desire to improve the quality of life in the city center by providing more comfortable and more seating. Seating with wooden backrests is suggested, as the metal benches are not considered comfortable. The model of flexible seating in Neustädter Kirchplatz is cited as a positive example.

Response from the Department of Sport, Health, Fire and Civil Protection:
As part of the "Seating in the Schwabachanlage" measure, a total of nine of the benches were installed at various locations in the Schwabach area. The installation of the benches was prompted by a request from the Seniors' Advisory Council with various location suggestions, particularly along the paths. Together with the city planning department, the municipal greenery, waste management and street cleaning department carried out a site inspection and determined the proposed locations and the exact orientation of the benches.
Some of the benches face towards Schwabach, while others face the path. The various local conditions played a decisive role in this. For example, some of the benches in the "Schwabachanlage" street are aligned towards the footpath/cycle path to ensure easy accessibility and that the wheelchair standing area next to the bench is also easy to use. If the benches had been aligned towards Schwabach, a much larger area would have had to be paved and thus sealed, which was not possible in the root zone of the large trees. The last bench in the direction of the Palmsanlage, for example, faces the Schwabach.
