District President Forster at the Seniors' Advisory Council
Stand: 24.09.2025
Many topics and projects for 60+ in Erlangen on the agenda
At the invitation of Chairwoman Alexandra Wunderlich and the committee, Peter Daniel Forster, President of the District Council of Middle Franconia, attended the meeting of the Senior Citizens' Advisory Board on September 22. He presented the work of the district, particularly in the area of care and social affairs.
Dieter Rosner, social welfare officer for the city of Erlangen, also gave a short but very informative presentation on the care needs analysis and answered the committee's questions.
The working groups presented the results of their work and reported on current projects.
For example, the committee is introducing "chat tables" in Erlangen bakeries to help combat loneliness. Among other things, it was unanimously decided to become a cooperation partner of the Association for the Promotion of Palliative Medicine at Erlangen University Hospital in the "GEMEINSAM endlich - Mitfühlende Stadt Erlangen und Umland" project.
You can find out more about the work of the committee at the SBE information stand on World Senior Citizens' Day on October 1, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., on Hugenottenplatz.
