Brüx (Czech Republic)

In 1949, the city of Erlangen took over the sponsorship of the expellees from Brüx, now Most, in northern Bohemia. Together with the expellees from Komotau, the survivors of the persecutions and their descendants in Erlangen run the so-called "Heimatstube" in Fahrstraße 14a, where, in consultation with the chairman, Peter Wesselowsky, who can be contacted at wessox@web.de, documents and records on the history of the Germans in what is now the Czech Republic can be viewed. For the Maria Schnee Festival in August, members of the home community gather in Erlangen and plan their annual program, which always includes meetings in Most.
