Brüx (Czech Republic)

In 1949, the city of Erlangen took over the sponsorship of the displaced persons from Brüx, now Most, in northern Bohemia. Together with the displaced persons from Komotau, the survivors of the persecutions and their descendants ran the so-called "Heimatstube" in Fahrstraße 14a in Erlangen until 2025.
The Brüxer Heimatstube was closed in 2025 and significant parts of the Brüxer heritage were handed over to the Erlangen City Archive, where they can be viewed by prior appointment.
