The most popular first names for newborns in Erlangen last year were Emma and Felix. This was announced by the registry office. Among the first names for girls, Emilia was thus pushed into second place after several years. For boys, Jakob and Noah are in second place, meaning that the Huguenot city has bucked the national trend (girls: Sophia, boys: Noah). Emilia is in 3rd place and Felix is in 12th place. In addition to Emilia, the "top 3" in Erlangen also include Emily among the girls and Leon among the boys.
