The city of Erlangen's annual sports awards ceremony took place on June 3 in a festive setting. Lord Mayor Florian Janik and Mayor Jörg Volleth honored a total of 150 athletes for their outstanding achievements over the past year. They presented honorary badges, medals in bronze, silver and gold as well as a certificate, which were accompanied by tickets for the "Summer Vibes" event.
Four sports letters of honor were awarded during the event for special services and many years of commitment to sport. The award went to
- Ingrid Lisson (1,000 points for your health)
- Harald David (school sport)
- Herman Krahl and Alfred Ebersberger (both SV Tennenlohe).

Finally, the city sports association also announced
- the nominations for the "Sportswoman of the Year"
- the "Sportsman of the Year" and
- the "Team of the Year".
The final election will then take place as part of "Summer Vibes" on July 11 at Freibad West.
