Preparation of development plan no. F 465 - Frauenauracher Straße Ost industrial estate - with integrated green space plan and early public participation
At a public meeting on December 5, 2017, the City of Erlangen's Environment, Transport and Planning Committee decided to draw up development plan no. F 465 for the area east of Frauenauracher Straße, north of plot no. 458 in the Frauenaurach district, west of the industrial track and south of plot nos. 1056/6 and 1032 in the Büchenbach district in accordance with the provisions of the German Building Code (BauGB).
In accordance with Section 2 (1) sentence 2 of the German Building Code (BauGB), the decision to draw up the development plan is hereby published in accordance with local custom.
The spatial area of application is shown in the site plan printed below. The map is based on the extract from the real estate cadastre from May 2018.
In accordance with the provisions of the German Building Code (Section 3 (1) BauGB), early public participation was carried out from 25.6.2018 up to and including 27.7.2018.
The following types of environmental information are available
Soil surveys, asbestos survey of the building stock, noise survey, traffic survey, special species protection assessment, faunistic surveys, tree population survey and tree balance as well as information on the treatment of a biotope located in the area in accordance with Section 30 BNatschG.

To date, the planning area on Frauenauracher Straße Ost has been used as a Siemens AG site. However, the site is in a state of upheaval, as some of the existing buildings no longer meet contemporary requirements in terms of usage, sustainability and design standards.
As a result of site-specific considerations, Siemens is planning to reorganize the site in terms of urban development and use. As part of this process, the site, which has so far been used internally, is to be opened up for commercial use by third parties. Industrial and trade companies as well as office and service companies are to be able to settle on the site. With this in mind, the existing Siemens-internal uses are to be abandoned and the old buildings are to make way for new commercial buildings. For the future development of the individual building plots, a public cul-de-sac with a turning area is to be built in the area for the first time.
The establishment of development plan no. F 465 - Frauenauracher Straße Ost industrial estate - with an integrated green space plan is intended to create the legal basis for the restructuring of the site.
