Economy: Advice and promotion

Under certain conditions, the Federal Employment Agency provides financial support for the step into self-employment. Prerequisite: You are self-employed as your main occupation and thus end your unemployment.

Apply for a subsidy

Persons who receive citizen's allowance are eligible. Do you have training or relevant professional experience in the field of activity? Then the chances of approval are good. Your job center will provide advice and support.

Apply for an entry-level allowance

The LfA Förderbank Bayern supports commercial and freelance start-ups, including business takeovers. LfA also supports sideline start-ups.

Start-up and growth loan

Target groups

• Scientists from public, non-profit research institutions and universities
• University graduates and former academic staff (up to 5 years after graduation)
• Students who have completed at least half of their studies at the time of application
• Start-up teams of up to three people

Scope of funding

• Securing personal living expenses through grants
• Material expenses of up to €10,000 for individual start-ups or €30,000 for teams
• Up to €5,000 for coaching
• Maximum funding period is one year
