Anyone wishing to keep a dangerous animal of a wild species in the city area requires a permit from the Public Order Office.

A permit may only be issued if

• the applicant can prove a legitimate interest in keeping the animal,
• there are no concerns about its reliability and
• there is no danger to life, health, property or possessions.

Dangerous animals of a wild species are all animal species that are not normally kept in human care. Such animals are dangerous if handling them can lead to injury or damage due to their inherent predispositions or behavior. Dangerous animals are, for example, large predators (lions, tigers, bears, etc.), strangulating, poisonous and giant snakes, tropical poisonous spiders, poisonous tropical scorpions.
