About the facility

The Erna-Zink-Kindergarten is a five-group facility in Röthelheimpark.

The Erna-Zink Kindergarten of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt Kreisverband Erlangen-Höchstadt e.V. offers 125 children aged 2.5 years to school age a place to play and learn.

We offer all children a fresh, warm lunch from our own kitchen. Our kindergarten is located in the quiet residential area of Röthelheimpark, a ten-minute walk from the nature reserve and the forest.

Our kindergarten works according to the concept of humanistic education. It is important to us to support children in their development, their desire to discover the world and their creativity in a holistic way. The focus here is on children's play, i.e. the child's appropriate interaction with its environment.

Our kindergarten should be a place for living and learning together, where children can experience and feel at ease. With us, children have a right to fear-free development, appreciation and recognition of their personality. We lovingly accompany the children in their everyday lives and create an atmosphere of trust as the basis of our educational work. In our facility, the children grow into a larger, multicultural community and learn the rules of living together while respecting their own boundaries and those of others.

Our childcare services are pedagogically and organizationally oriented towards the needs of the children and their families. This results in the following focal points for our work: inclusion, language development, promotion of physical activity and intercultural education.
