Städt. Integrative children's home Rasselbande - Schweinfurter Straße

At the Kinderhaus Rasselbande, children from the age of 1 until they start school are looked after in four kindergarten groups and one crèche group. A total of 116 children can be cared for. Integrative places are also offered.
The municipal children's home is located in the district of Erlangen-Büchenbach, surrounded by a small wood in a traffic-calmed zone and is the catchment area of the Büchenbach Nord elementary school (Mönauschule).
Far away from the noise of the street, right next to a playground, the two-storey building is located on a spacious site of around 3500 m².
The children's house has:
- One group room including adjoining room for each group
- 4 children's bathrooms
- gymnasium
- Sleeping room for crèche children
- 2 kitchens
- Garden for kindergarten children
- Garden for crèche children
Our educational work with the children focuses on learning through play, language development and intercultural life. Our nursery has been awarded the title of "Sprachkita" and "Jolinchen-Fit Kita". Participatory work with the children and cooperation with parents is a priority for the teachers.
