About the facility

The crèche is a new building on the grounds of the Klinikum am Europakanal in the Büchenbach district.

Our AWO-Kindernest consists of four groups, each with twelve places and two emergency group places.

The crèche is a new building on the grounds of the Klinikum am Europakanal and has been open since March 2014. You can reach Kindernest easily by car, bicycle and public transport. The bus stop is located directly on site. Access to the crèche is through the gate. Turn left directly after the gate and walk to the end, the facility is in an idyllic location on the edge of the forest with a large outdoor play area.

Children of all nations, cultures and religions are welcome in our crèche. As a non-denominational provider, we convey the generally recognized values of tolerance, solidarity, freedom, equality and justice in accordance with our mission statement.

We see the child as an active being, as an agent of his or her own development. Every child has its own pace of development, i.e. learning takes place according to its own inner blueprint in "sensitive phases", i.e. when it is open to it.
