German Air Force Conducts Training at Nuremberg Airport
Stand: 29.09.2026
During the training period, there may be times when noise levels are clearly audible during the first week of October.
From Monday, October 5, through Friday, October 9, the German Air Force will conduct an exercise involving four Eurofighters at Nuremberg Airport. This was announced by the Bundeswehr. As part of the multi-day exercise, participants will practice how military aircraft and operational forces can temporarily operate out of a civilian airport. The goal is to strengthen the Air Force’s flexibility and operational capability in the context of national and alliance defense, as well as to gain insights for sustainable flight operations in the long term.
During the exercise period, there may be times when noise levels are clearly noticeable, particularly due to takeoffs, landings, and the operation of the Eurofighters. The Air Force asks residents, schools, and other institutions in the vicinity of the airport for their understanding.
