Klement, Head of the Office for Sport and Health Promotion, wants from the new hall, which is the center of the BBGZ. In addition to areas for school and club sports, the quadruple hall offers a spacious foyer as a setting for exhibitions.
An additional, large meeting room with glass fronts, together with a bar area, can be used for conferences and similar events. The publicly accessible outdoor area offers additional space for sporting and social activities.
"The most important thing in life", says Klement, "is health". That is why it is important to create buildings that have a "certain stimulating character". The infrastructure offered by the Gerd Lohwasser Hall now has the potential to make exercise fun. And not just actively.
