Search for gravesites by name or grave number. GPS guides you to the grave you are looking for.
A digital cemetery map is available for the municipal cemeteries. Gravesites can be found by name or by grave number using the search function. The exact location of the grave is displayed. You can be guided directly to the grave you are looking for via GPS. There is also information about available gravesites.
Addition to the digital offer
There is a QR code in the display cases at the entrances to the municipal cemeteries. By scanning it or entering the web address https://erlangen.friedhofsplan.de, you can access the digital cemetery map on your smartphone. It creates a modern and contemporary application in many respects. It is also an important addition to the existing digital services.
Only what is requested can be accessed
With regard to data protection, the city of Erlangen proceeds with caution and on the necessary legal basis. The retrievable data of deceased persons is generally not subject to data protection. Only the grave number and name of the deceased are displayed on the digital cemetery map. If this is not desired, a brief notification to the cemetery administration is sufficient. The data is then anonymized. The grave will then only be marked as "occupied".
