The excavator mentioned in the Wiesengrund belongs to the company GHP AG. This and another excavator nearby are to be used for the conversion of the hydropower plant at the Neumühle. GHP AG has a permit for the conversion of the hydropower plant and has now also clarified the structural development of the project. In March 2024, GHP AG concluded a permit agreement with the City of Erlangen for the use of a path for the development. Due to the upcoming construction work, a nature conservation order to remove the construction machinery was not issued. The condition of the access path was documented during an on-site meeting with GHP AG on 11.06.2024. Before construction work can begin, load-distributing plates must be laid on this path to protect the soil and approved by the Environmental Agency before construction work can begin. Ultimately, this means that the excavators will be moved when the construction work starts. According to the lawyer for GHP AG at the on-site meeting on 11.06., this should happen "soon".
