Curriculum vitae
My name is Dieter Rosner and I was born in 1965. I have a degree in sociology (MA) and have been a professional city councillor since January 1, 2021. I am married and have two grown-up daughters. I am responsible for the Youth Welfare Office, the Social Welfare Office and the Job Center of the City of Erlangen. Together with all the employees in these offices, I am responsible for many topics and tasks. They range from growing up to getting older and also touch on areas in different life situations.
Dieter Rosner in conversation
Poverty, wealth, opportunities and development possibilities are still unequally distributed in our society. I am concerned with the question of how we can ensure equal participation opportunities for all. This is also linked to the question of what holds an urban society together. It is therefore less about managing "hardship and misery" and more about the task of shaping municipal youth, family and social policy. However, I am also concerned with the issue of so-called empowerment justice: enabling people to lead a good life independently and self-determinedly, to participate in social life and to help shape it.
The currently most important fields of action and challenges that I have a particular focus on all begin with "A": growing up, ageing, poverty, unemployment, asylum (immigration). The topics of "affordable housing" and (social) inclusion are also very close to my heart. And there is another question that concerns me: How can we succeed in thinking about climate and social policy together?
I see this slogan as a programmatic guiding principle for Erlangen's social policy. The aim is to develop approaches to ensure access to opportunities for participation. These offer, for example, low-threshold and accessible forms of information, advice and socio-educational support for all people, as well as a preventative approach to avoid emergencies.
The number of social housing units is constantly increasing. We must not let up here. The construction of more socially subsidized housing must be a priority, especially 2-room apartments and large multi-room apartments are in demand. In future, however, we must also find creative solutions to the housing shortage, such as converting vacant office buildings or supporting communal forms of housing. In the long term, the aim is to secure the stock of subsidized housing with suitable measures.
The palace garden with botanical garden, the Schiffstraße and of course the Erlangen Bergkirchweih.
In cafés in my immediate vicinity, such as "Brasil", "Amir" or the "Café am Bohlenplatz".
I am not committed to any genre. I like listening to "Independent" on Zündfunk on Bayern 2, which has been with me for over 40 years. There's a lot on the annual playlists that I like to listen to.
On my bike, on my cell phone (sometimes unfortunately) and on many books.
The best way to contact me is by e-mail to sozialreferat@stadt.erlangen.de or by telephone via my front office on 09131/86-3321.
