Lebenshilfe Erlangen trip to Bolzano
Stand: 14.08.2024
A group of people with disabilities visited Erlangen's twin city of Bolzano for five days
In mid-July, a small group of people with disabilities and their companions travelled to Bolzano thanks to the organization of Lebenshilfe Erlangen. Once there, they visited the Ötzi Museum and enjoyed the beautiful weather on Lake Montiggl. The group also met with representatives of Lebenshilfe Südtirol and the self-advocacy group People First Südtirol. With the latter, the group took the cable car up to the Ritten and hiked through Oberbozen. The trip was rounded off with a visit to the Lebenshilfe Südtirol art studio in Bruneck followed by a guided tour of the town.
The contacts between Lebenshilfe Südtirol and Erlangen have been actively cultivated for several years and another trip to Bolzano is already on the cards. You can currently visit the art exhibition Farb:Akzente in Erlangen on the premises of the Bavarian Lebenshilfe Association (Kitzingerstr. 6 in 91056 Erlangen). Paintings from both the Akzent art workshop of Lebenshilfe Südtirol and the open work with the disabled of Lebenshilfe Erlangen are on display there. The exhibition can be visited during opening hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and runs until December 2024. In addition, a midi opening will take place on Thursday, October 24, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. together with guests from Lebenshilfe Südtirol. Please register in advance by email to oba-team@lebenshilfe-erlangen.de by October 12.
