Your tasks:
- Supporting, assisting and advising municipal departments and in-house companies on fundamental tax law issues and conducting training courses within the city
- Preparation and submission of tax returns in the area of sales and income tax and processing of tax matters
- Supporting and advising on the Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS) from development to introduction, implementation, maintenance and updating, including monitoring the city's tax obligations
- Accompanying the tax audit of the "City of Erlangen as tax debtor" and other external audits and implementing the results
- Processing loan management & guarantees, in particular borrowing, debt rescheduling as well as evaluations and statistics
- Representation of the department head
Your profile:
- Career qualification for the third qualification level of the "Administration and Finance" career path, preferably with a specialist focus on "Taxes and Public Finance" or successfully completed Employee Training Course II (BL II) or a completed university degree in business administration (Bachelor's or Diplom (FH))
- Legal knowledge and practical experience in tax law, particularly in income, corporate income and value added tax law
- Practical experience in loan management and in municipal budgeting, cash management and accounting is an advantage
- Independent, careful and analytical way of working as well as good written and oral communication skills
- Reliability, assertiveness and strong conflict and communication skills
- Good IT and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a willingness to familiarize yourself with specialist programs
