Just in time for the start of the 2024/2025 season, the Markgrafentheater will have a passenger elevator that can be accessed from Theaterplatz and reaches all floors from the basement to the third level. This will make the important cultural institution more accessible for all people with walking disabilities and those who rely on a wheelchair. Mayor Florian Janik, theater director Jonas Knecht and Dinah Radtke, honorary citizen and chairwoman of the senior citizens' advisory board, officially opened the new elevator for use.
