Reopening on July 24, 2024
The playground was getting on in years. The large play combination already had to be closed in 2022. Planning for a general refurbishment therefore began in 2023. Through extensive child participation with a school class from Mönaugrundschule
and discussions with local residents, the playground was to be designed to best meet the needs of the users. The renovation work began at the end of 2023. The playground was completed in July 2024 by the Stadtgrün department. There is
- a new large climbing/sliding combination with various balancing elements
- a new water and mud area
- new seating
- a trampoline as an addition.
A total of almost 60,000 euros was invested in the play equipment. The estimate for the landscaping work
work amounts to around 65,000 euros.
