From ice cream parlors and ice cream on a stick.

Ein schwarz-weiß Bild mit zwei Kindern beim Eisessen. Today, it is a matter of course in summer to cool down in high temperatures by eating ice cream. For Erlangen, the sale of "artificial ice cream" to the general public is recorded as early as 1901 at the Bergkirchweih, where at least lemon, raspberry and strawberry flavors were available. By 1913 at the latest, there was also an Italian ice cream vendor.
ler. Like so many other things, the production and sale of ice cream was subject to strict rules. For example, ice cream could only be made from natural fruits, fruit or juices; if artificial flavors and colors were used, it had to be called artificial ice cream. As a rule, ice cream was not yet available "to go", it was eaten on the spot and as "ice cream by its nature is subject to the necessity of immediate consumption", "a quantitative restriction on the sale of ice cream on the street" was not necessary. From the 1930s, "ice cream on a stick" became widespread and industrial production began with Schöller and Langnese.
