- Route corridors east of Wetterkreuzfeld -
At a public meeting on September 28, 2017, the City Council of the City of Erlangen decided by a majority to draw up the 2nd cover sheet for development plan no. T 248 and the 9th cover sheet for development plan no. T 249 of the City of Erlangen - eastern Wetterkreuzfeld route corridors - for the area south of the Turmhügelweg/ Im Winkelfeld/ Sebastianstraße residential development, north of the Winkelfeld landscape conservation area, west of Reutleser Weg and east of the B4.
In accordance with Section 2 (1) sentence 2 of the German Building Code (BauGB), the decision to draw up the plan is hereby published in accordance with local practice.
The Stadt-Umland-Bahn will play an important role as a linear transport infrastructure in the future. The project will link Erlangen more closely with the neighboring cities of Nuremberg and Herzogenaurach in terms of public transport.
The route of the StUB is bound by a number of constraints and can only be shifted within certain planning parameters. In order to prevent the areas required for construction from being occupied by other uses, in particular construction uses, which would make the implementation of the project more difficult or even more expensive, the UVPA decided on 18 July 2017 that, if necessary, building law instruments should be used to secure the route corridors of the Stadt-Umland-Bahn.
The administration was instructed to examine and, if necessary, use suitable instruments to provisionally secure the route corridors required for the realization of the Stadt-Umland-Bahn.
