Erlangen scores highly in prestigious rankings

Erlangen is a business location with excellent prospects for the future. In renowned city rankings, Erlangen has recently impressively demonstrated its leading position nationwide:

The Prognos research institute attests that our city has very good prospects for the future. In the Future Atlas 2022, which is published every three years, Erlangen came second behind the district of Munich. According to Prognos, no other location in Germany offers better opportunities in the labor market. Erlangen is also among the top 10 in the "Competition & Innovation" category, proving once again that metropolitan areas remain the engines of growth in Germany.

Erlangen was also able to impress in the city ranking by WirtschaftsWoche, ImmoScout24 and IW Consult 2024. The city ranking is the most comprehensive municipal performance check in Germany. It compares independent cities with a population of 100,000 or more on the basis of more than 100 disciplines.
