The Municipal Singing and Music School offers children and young people, as well as adults, the opportunity to discover and develop their musical abilities - and has been doing so for more than 70 years. The music teachers teach in the music school building as well as in elementary school and at other branches in order to introduce Erlangen's citizens to "music and singing in the lowest possible way".

Tina Groth, who has been working at the Städtische Sing- und Musikschule since 1983, follows this approach. The music graduate with a major in viola da gamba combined her passion for music with pedagogy at an early age and is looking forward to her new role as director of the Erlangen Singing and Music School with a team of over 40 experienced and committed music teachers from September.
