Housing in Exchange for Help
Stand: 06.07.2026
In the "Housing for Help" project, unused living space is made available at a low cost in exchange for help with daily tasks.
Sharing a Home - Getting Help
Unused living space is made available at a low cost in exchange for help with daily tasks.
As a housing provider:
Anyone who lives within a reasonable distance from downtown Erlangen (reachable in about 30 minutes by public transportation) and has at least one room available for exclusive use.
As a tenant:
Students or people in training who urgently need a room and would prefer to provide practical help rather than pay rent.
Rule of thumb:
1 m² of living space = 1 hour of help per month (utility costs such as heating, water, and electricity must be paid)
For example, housework or yard work, keeping someone company, caring for pets, or babysitting.
Note: Nursing or medical services areexcluded !
