Field workshops for the urban community & educational modules for schools

Fancy a vegetable experience? With fun, ease and the right mix of theory and practice, experienced gardeners and environmental educators impart interesting facts about organic vegetable cultivation: from correct sowing and environmentally friendly care during the field season to glorious harvests.

Sustainability and climate protection are brought to life in a practical way, connections to agriculture are shown and tips for everyday life are given.

Everything is available for the workshops and anyone can take part - with or without previous knowledge: There is plenty of room for questions and time to talk shop!

Dates and workshop content

Between April and October, various free workshops for young people and adults, families with children, clubs and groups will take place around the Zukunftsacker educational project under the expert guidance of our master gardener and passionate organic gardener. Information on the location and registration can be found below.

When you register, you will receive a confirmation of registration with the meeting point and other information as soon as possible. If you are unable to come despite registering, please let us know in good time. In order to be able to take photos, we will obtain your photo rights. A toilet is available. Barrier-free on request.

Please bring along:

Gardening gloves, harvest bag, drink, sun or rain protection as required.

The Lernort Zukunftsacker is an educational project for sustainable development of the city of Erlangen with the cooperation partners Ackergarten Schaufler, Teilerei and private individuals. 2021 funded by the German Postcode Lottery, 2022 partially funded by the Education, Nature and Environment Foundation of Sparkasse Erlangen. Since 2023, the city of Erlangen has financed the entire project.
