The Health Regionplus Erlangen-Höchstadt & Erlangen is a model project funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care (StMGP), which is implemented jointly in the city and district. It is set up as a central platform in the form of a broad-based network of regional players. The priority areas are health promotion and prevention, action planning and implementation:
Affected persons (as experts on the living environment) and specialist stakeholders are involved in the respective measures and project planning. Project planning is carried out using the cooperative planning method. The Health RegionPlus was evaluated by the University of Tübingen.
Next steps:
Continuation of the working groups in the fields of action and interdepartmental networking to identify cross-cutting health issues and recommendations for action.
At the same time, options are being developed for the continuation of the Health RegionPlus.
The Health RegionPlus is currently in its second funding phase, which was approved by the city council and extended until December 31, 2024.
The project is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care as part of fixed-amount financing amounting to 50,000 euros per year. The city and district share half of the own contribution to be made. Third-party funds (health insurance companies) are primarily used to implement measures and projects.
