The main fire station on Äußere Brucker Straße is set to be expanded.

Preliminary design through the second quarter of 2026. Plans include:
- New construction for the administrative building—including vehicle garages, offices, workshops, and training rooms
- New construction of the western vehicle garage with an additional floor, including staff rooms for disaster response
- New building for the Erlangen-Stadt Volunteer Fire Department, including a vehicle garage, workshops, changing rooms and restrooms, a lounge area, and office space
The preliminary design is currently being developed. Due to the current budget situation in the city of Erlangen, no additional funding has been allocated for the time being.
Estimated cost: 47.8 million euros (excluding equipment)
No public participation is planned
