Innovative, technologically competent: 200 guests from politics, science, business and culture discussed the region's future opportunities at the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region's 20th anniversary celebrations in March.
Politics, business, science and culture - the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region has grown together in 20 years. On March 19, 2025 at the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, stakeholders and committed individuals celebrated the successes and prepared themselves for the next challenges.
Today, 3.6 million citizens live in one of the strongest economic regions in Germany and Europe; its innovative strength has catapulted the region into the top group of EU Regional Innovation Valleys. Since its foundation 20 years ago, the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region has developed into a role model for successful regional cooperation. 23 administrative districts and 11 independent cities have grown together and today form a strong network that specifically promotes regional cooperation. The idea thrives on the motivation of hundreds of committed players who work part-time and voluntarily on joint projects.
