Announcement of the approval of the 20a. Amendment of the land use plan with integrated landscape plan 2003 of the city of Erlangen for the sub-area - extension of the south campus of the university

With the decision dated 16.05.2025 No. 4621-2-4-7, the government of Middle Franconia approved the 20a. Amendment of the land use plan with integrated landscape plan 2003 for the sub-area - extension of the south campus of the University of Erlangen. The granting of the approval is hereby published in accordance with Section 6 (5) of the German Building Code (BauGB). With this announcement, the approved 20a. Amendment to the Land Use Plan with Integrated Landscape Plan 2003 for the sub-area - Extension of the University South Campus - becomes effective with this announcement. Anyone may inspect the land use plan and the explanatory statement as well as the summary declaration on the manner in which the environmental concerns and the results of the public and official participation were taken into account in the land use plan and the reasons why the plan was chosen after weighing up the other planning options that were considered, at the Office for Urban Planning and Mobility of the City of Erlangen (Gebbertstraße 1, 3rd floor) during general office hours and request information on its contents. The subject of the amendment is essentially the representation of a special university construction area instead of the previous forest area.

Reference is made to the prerequisites for asserting the violation of procedural and formal regulations and of deficiencies in the weighing of interests as well as the legal consequences of Section 215 (1) BauGB.

Accordingly, the following are irrelevant

1. a violation of the procedural and formal regulations specified in Section 214 (1) sentence 1 no. 1 to 3 of the BauGB and

2. a violation of the regulations on the relationship between the development plan and the land use plan, which is relevant in accordance with Section 214 (2) of the BauGB, and

3. any deficiencies in the weighing-up process that are notable pursuant to Section 214 (3) sentence 2 BauGB,

if they are not notified within one year of the publication of the 20a. amendment to the land use plan in writing to the City of Erlangen, Office for Urban Planning and Mobility; the facts justifying the infringement or defect must be stated.
