You can look for a language tandem for this. It works like this: Two people meet regularly and converse in both languages. You can learn or practise a foreign language free of charge. You can do things together and be in contact with other people, whether online or in person. You can find an overview of the offers here.
Erlangen Adult Education Center (VHS)
At the VHS Club International you can meet people from other countries and cultures. You can talk to each other and learn from each other. There are various offers: You can discuss things together and take part in lectures. You also have the opportunity to take part in cultural events. Further information

You can find a partner to learn or improve your language skills at Erlangen City Library. Do you speak a particular language? Then you can register with the city library:
There is a red board on the second floor. You can leave your details there. If you find a possible partner, you can contact this person. The information desk on the second floor is there for you if you have any further questions. The service is free of charge. Further information
Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU)
You can take part in a language tandem at the FAU's Self-Study Center for Languages. You can learn a language with one or more people. The exchange takes place without a teacher or curriculum. You can register for a language tandem here

Online tandems
At www.tandem.net you can find a partner who speaks another language. You will find different people there. It says which language the person speaks and which language they would like to learn. If you create your own profile, you can write a message to other people. You can then decide together how you would like to practise a language.
At www.erstenachhilfe.de you can create a profile and find a language partner. You can find someone on the website using the detailed search. Please enter "language partner" here. In your profile, you can indicate, for example, when you have time to practise. You can also indicate whether you would like to do an online tandem.
