The partnership comes with certain advantages that interested parties do not have (e.g. guaranteed participation in cross-sector networking meetings, exclusive invitations to specialist workshops, close support from municipal employees).
If your organization meets the general admission criteria, representatives can take part in the networking meetings as "interested parties" for a limited period of time. To do so, please contact the municipal staff. You will find the contact details at the bottom of the page.
If you meet the admission criteria as an organization, you can take the next step to receive the benefits of partnership in the Climate Neutral Erlangen Alliance (e.g. secure participation in cross-industry networking meetings, exclusive invitations to specialist workshops, close support from city employees).
To this end, you make your contribution to Climate Awakening and your motivation for climate neutrality visible in the Climate City Contract. Please note that the Climate City Contract is not a legal document and therefore does not entail any legal obligations.
You also take part in the city's annual monitoring, in which you regularly submit current figures for selected climate success indicators digitally. Your participation will be certified annually.
Your organization does not enter into any legal obligations. The partnership status requires one-time participation in the Climate City Agreement and annual participation in monitoring. Active participation in the biannual networking meetings is desired.
There are no costs associated with the partnership.
The annual monitoring enables progress in climate protection to be made transparent. It is made up of five climate success indicators: PV output, heating and cooling demand, electricity demand, mobility and, if required, details of your own lighthouse projects (with notableCO2 savings). In the summer months, you will receive a request from the city of Erlangen to independently enter the current data from the previous year in a digital form. The request is made on a trust basis. The results are published on the city's website. You decide whether you want to publish your organization-specific results or as part of the aggregated total value of all organizations.
No, you only write articles on measures that match the goals of your organization.
The Climate Awakening Roadmap contains key measures whose implementation is essential for a climate-neutral Erlangen. The majority ofCO2 emissions are caused by transportation, trade, commerce, services, industry and private households, which is why climate neutrality can only be achieved by working together. The measures of the Climate Awakening Roadmap therefore address all organizations in Erlangen and should be implemented independently.
The Climate City Contract reflects this symbolic solidarity and makes visible which organizations are involved in the implementation of measures. At the same time, the Climate City Contract can be an aid for organizations that do not yet have their own roadmap for ecological transformation. Every local organization can use a digital form to enter their contributions and make them visible on www.erlangen.de/mein-beitrag.
As a partner of the Climate Neutral Erlangen Alliance, you can take an active part in the networking meetings, for example by giving an impulse for your organization's internal project or participating in a panel discussion. You are welcome to offer your own exchange formats in order to continue working on specific issues outside of the networking meetings. If you have any other ideas for helping to shape the event, please contact the municipal staff. You will find the contact details at the bottom of the page.
The Climate Neutral Erlangen Alliance was founded in 2023. Numerous organizations that were involved in creating the Climate Awakening Roadmap are also committed to climate protection as part of the Climate Neutral Erlangen Alliance.
