City contract Climate

The time has come: the Climate City Contract has been published and now it's up to you! Show what contribution you personally (or your institution) would like to make to climate action and join the great climate movement.
The great transformation towards climate neutrality has begun in municipalities around the world. The city of Erlangen has set itself the goal of achieving climate neutrality in the city of Erlangen before 2030 and has set the course for this with the Climate Awakening Roadmap.
This ambitious climate target needs the people of Erlangen. Because when it comes to bold climate protection, you need an urban society that sticks together and works together - with all its diverse possibilities and resources.
The Climate City Contract is the place where the climate protection contributions of citizens, companies, associations, science, initiatives and many more are published. It is a growing documentation and at the same time a pool of ideas on how each and every individual can make a big difference in everyday life.
Now it is up to the people of Erlangen to fill the Climate Awakening with life in the coming years within the scope of their personal possibilities.
Set off with us: All people in Erlangen are cordially invited to actively participate in the implementation of the roadmap measures and to set an example with their public contribution.
As a private individual, you have two options:
Option 1:
You can endorse the recommendations compiled by the Climate Awakening Citizens' Council (a committee of randomly drawn citizens). These are suggestions and reflect what is particularly important to the Citizens' Assembly as a group. Your contribution is only intended for you personally and will not be published. If you wish, you can sign the city contract digitally with your name.
Option 2:
You can formulate your own personal contribution. Your contribution is only intended for you personally and will not be published. If you wish, you can sign the city contract digitally with your name.
As an organization (e.g. company, association, institution), you can indicate which measures of the Climate Action Roadmap you would like to support. The catalog of measures comprises 41 measures, divided into the fields of action "Cross-sector", "Energy supply", "Buildings", "Mobility" and "Food and consumption".
You can also specify current and future climate protection activities at your institution. You can find examples from other Erlangen companies, associations, etc. in the Climate City Contract.
Your institution's contribution will be published in the Climate City Contract and on erlangen.de.
