The Erlangen City Council convened on May 12 for its constituent meeting for the 2026–2032 term. The focus was on the swearing-in of the 21 newly elected city council members and the inaugural address by the newly elected Mayor Jörg Volleth. The City Council also addressed statements from the political parties, organizational matters regarding city leadership, and the appointment of members to various committees.
