40 junior staff and 20 trainee teachers started their training with the City of Erlangen at the beginning of September.
A wide range of professions is available to young people, from traditional apprenticeships to dual study programs. These include two-wheel mechatronics technicians and road builders as well as office management assistants, media and information services specialists and administrative assistants.
The training opportunities at the City of Erlangen are as broad and diverse as the tasks of the City of Erlangen itself. There is also a special focus on training in the field of education. In addition to the dual practice-integrated training to become an educator, there is also the classic qualification option via the Social Introductory Year (SEJ) and work placement. A further 20 prospective educators were able to start their training in this way. The trainees can look forward to meaningful, varied and responsible tasks. There are also benefits such as their own laptop and the opportunity to work from home, a guarantee of employment if suitable, as well as good opportunities for further development and promotion.
