The City of Erlangen strives to make its website and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the Act on Digitization in the Free State of Bavaria (BayDiG). As a public body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we endeavor to make our website accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
This declaration on digital accessibility applies to the Digital Learning Platform (LMS) of the City of Erlangen.

Sub-areas that are not yet accessible:
- The digital learning platform of the city of Erlangen is not yet optimized for pure navigation using a keyboard or for the use of accessible text-to-speech software (e.g. ReadSpeaker).
- Transcriptions are not available for all video and audio content. We are working on implementing support for video and audio subtitles.
Areas that may not be accessible or over which we have no control:
- External websites, applications, documents and e-learnings that we link to or make accessible are not necessarily accessible.
Accessibility is an important concern for the city of Erlangen. The learning platform's offerings are therefore also being continuously developed with regard to the accessibility of content, existing barriers are being further reduced and possible shortcomings are being rectified as quickly as possible.
