"With each other. For each other. Erlangen." - Citizens strengthen the heart of our city - a campaign by Bürgerstiftung and Sparkasse Erlangen
When financial resources are lacking, the very projects that make up the heart of a city often falter. In order to preserve and strengthen these valuable offerings, the Erlangen Community Foundation and Sparkasse Erlangen have launched the joint initiative "Together. For each other. Erlangen." initiative. It is a support of the "Aid Fund for Associations".
Just in time for the tapping of the Bergkirchweih, from Thursday, June 5, 2025, the doubling campaign will start: Sparkasse Erlangen will double every private donation received via its online donation platform for the initiative. Up to a total amount of 10,000 euros.
Klaus Fella, Chairman of the Board of the Erlangen Community Foundation: "We see it as our responsibility to take action before it is too late. When children sit alone on their balconies during the vacations because excursions are canceled, or when young talents stop dreaming because no one believes in them - that affects us all. It affects our togetherness. That's why we launched the initiative 'With each other. For each other. Erlangen.' initiative. It aims to show what is possible when a city stands together."
Johannes von Hebel, Chairman of the Management Board of Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Erlangen Höchstadt Herzogenaurach: "As a savings bank, we see ourselves not just as a financial institution, but as an active part of this city. It is important to us to invest not only economically, but also in people - in joie de vivre, in opportunities, in the feeling that you belong. With the doubling campaign, we want to take responsibility together with the people of Erlangen - not someday, but now."
The initiative "With each other. For each other. Erlangen." supports a variety of projects that shape Erlangen socially, culturally and in terms of people. It is aimed at associations, institutions and initiatives that ensure that no one is forgotten on a daily basis. The initiative "Together. For each other. Erlangen." wants to show: Our city is not just a place - it is a promise. To cohesion. To opportunities. To humanity.
Every donation - whether small or large - sends a signal: "You are not alone." And with the doubling by Sparkasse Erlangen, the effect is twofold.
Further information and donation options are available on the online donation platform of Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Erlangen Höchstadt Herzogenaurach "WirWunder ": https://www.wirwunder.de/project/152820
