Education reports and publications on education in Erlangen

Stand: 05.11.2025

Education is important for the social and economic development of society. Many areas of education are not the responsibility of the federal or state governments, but of the municipalities themselves. For this reason, many municipalities rely on data-based municipal education management in order to plan and control developments in the education sector.

Education reports and other publications on individual areas of education are published at regular intervals in order to present the current education situation on site. These focus on framework conditions and developments in the field of education, derive recommendations for action for political bodies or provide general information on educational opportunities and services in Erlangen.

The Education Office works closely with other departments to produce the education reports and publications. Each education report is accompanied by a specialist group with experts from the respective education sector, with whom the recommendations for action are discussed, among other things. After the publication of an education report, the Education Office oversees the implementation and continuous evaluation of the proposed recommendations for action.
