At the Center for Human Rights Erlangen-Nuremberg at Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU CHREN), researchers are investigating human rights challenges. They do this against the backdrop of global megatrends such as
- autocratization
- digitalization
- planetary environmental crises and
- the transformation of human rights norms, institutions and practices.
As part of the Excellence Strategy of the German federal and state governments, the Cluster of Excellence "Transforming Human Rights" at FAU CHREN will receive funding in the mid double-digit million range over seven years.
