Trip to Jena on October 3
Stand: 13.08.2026
Interactive program for German Unity Day. Registration is still open. The registration deadline is Friday, September 4.
This year, the city of Erlangen is once again organizing a day trip by coach to its sister city, Jena, in Thuringia, to celebrate German Unity Day together on October 3. Registrations are still being accepted by the Mayor’s Office and Press Office (phone 09131 86-1321/-1345, email staedtepartnerschaften@stadt.erlangen.de, subject line: Trip to Jena on October 3).
The program
Departure is at 7:45 a.m. from the bus station. After light refreshments and a brief official welcome at the Volkshaus by the mayors of both cities, participants can look forward to an interactive program. The musical accompaniment will be provided, among others, by the accordion ensemble of the Erlangen Municipal School of Singing and Music.
Starting at noon, there will be plenty of time for individual activities, such as taking part in a free city tour or the now legendary pub quiz with “BigKev.” You can also visit the City Museum and attend a concert featuring the accordion ensemble from Erlangen. Following an ecumenical service in the City Church, everyone is invited to join in a final sing-along. The return trip will begin around 6:30 p.m.
Price and Registration
The trip price of 29 euros includes the bus ride, a welcome snack in Jena, the free activities on site, and a small snack for the trip home. The registration deadline is Friday, September 4. Seats will be assigned based on the order in which registrations are received and the timely transfer of the travel fee per person.
